Sergey

He is here!! We have had Sergey as part of our family for two and a half weeks now.  There have been many ups and downs in the last two weeks.  When he arrived, he was so eager and excited. He went 90mph at all times for about a week and a half.  He has finally slowed down, but still has a zest for life that is undeniable.  I have never seen someone so brave and happy all.the.time!

He told us he wanted to go fishing at the airport when we picked him up. 

There is a lot going on around here lately.  We have a child that is taking driver's ed this summer.  Where did the time go????  We have about five weeks of school left.  We are all anticipating the summer break.  One of the many reasons that we are sooo excited is that we will be hosting a 10 year old boy from the Ukraine this summer.  We could not be more excited. I hope to post about this as our summer adventures happen.  For now, I thought I would post our latest family picture so you can see how much everyone has changed.

Hello Friends! I truly miss making time to blog!!! We are in a new year of school. I have a high schooler now!! Does not seem real that my first born is now 14!! Moving on.....Ethan is in 5th grade, Aaron is in 4th grade, and Lauren is in 1st grade. They like school on most days. I do get requests from the two youngest to homeschool again:) I miss that too.  This year, I am teaching second grade. I have some smart little ones in my class. They enjoy learning which makes my job much easier.  I also work in the afterschool care program a couple of days a week. So between homework and catching up on housework....well, you can guess. I hope to make a habit of blogging more but I won't make promises. I do have some pictures to share!

Poor,neglected blog! I apologize. I am not "transitioning" well into the working mom role. Not as much free time really stinks. Not that I have ever had much free time with four kids! Anyway, weekends are precious so I have chosen other things rather than sitting at the keyboard. I look forward to our Christmas break. I hope to post some pictures and catch everyone up.

New Adventures

I am going back to work! I will be teaching fifth grade this year. I am excited and nervous. I am so happy that all of my kids will be at the same school. So we will all have the same schedule which makes going back to work so much easier. Everyone wasn't excited at first but after a trip to school and to get school supplies, they are eager to go! The kids will be in 8th,4th,3rd, and Kindergarten so I won't be teaching any of my own. I will miss homeschooling because we had a great year and learned so much! I am sure this year will be a grand new adventure too! I can't wait to share all about our year. Pray for us as we begin a new schedule, routine and so on.
